As we discussed today Phil, this is a great shame. I do like your plan to fit that monster engine tho - and I do hope that it brings you a little more luck :thumb:

That looks fairly terminal :o Hope you can get the Pony up and running again soon. Any ideas as to what caused the failure yet?

I am pretty sure it will be the con rod letting go that caused the problem, I need to talk to Webster Race Engineering to get some torque figures on times for the 1/4mile.
If I am going to start again I might as well go for something that will get me in the 10's, I reckon the 460 small block should get me 750bhp with a supercharger and nitrous just need to do some research on whats available

Spending time on it whenever I can - hopefully it will be out by next weekend just got to sort out the power steering and A/C. Have been researching engines with Mark, the 460 small block is still looking favourite

Blimey this looks a lot of work. Should be awesome when done.

How come the bottom pulley is so rusted though ?

I was amazed at the quality of the metals used in some of the construction, I had it on the ramp from new to check it over and some of the under-body had surface rust on it so I spent a lot of time sealing the underneath to protect it before it went out on the road. It just seems that certain parts of the car have no protection I suppose it is because they have better weather over there?
