Should hopefully (barring getting called out for work) have the new engine and box bolted back on its mounts today.
Also have a nice hydraulic handbrake sitting here ready to be plumbed in, although it may be pushing it abit to get that in, in time.
Will post some more progress piccies soon 8)

Thanks Ben, thing is i hate leaving things half finished so when i have a big job to do i tend to try and get on with it every free minute (ish)

Fingers crossed, there's still alot to do but hopefully i should be there :D

You'll be in good company then :thumb: I am probably the worst one there but it doesn't detract from the fun, which for me is nothing short of amazing. If you're still running 15's let me know as I have some part worns at the unit you can have.

Thanks Stu, i'll more than likely take you up on that offer once the cars up and running :)

Small update.
Everythings back in the car but (as always) there's a few problems to sort so i'm not going to make tomorrow night :cry:
Car won't start which i think is down to ignition timing and a coolant leak from one of the old gaskets.

So am now doing a bit of head scratching to get it fired up then will fix the coolant leak... ahh the joys of diy lol :)

was the engine you're using from another MK1a?

i believe the MK1b engines are different?

assuming you are using the original ECU too?

a shame it wont be ready for tonight.

not sure i'll make it myslef :cry:
