i agree with dunk on the extra cost on fuel to cover road tax as no one would be able avoid not paying it and it would cut down alot of man hours and irrelivant letters from the dlva, plus the more miles you do the more road tax you will pay :thumb: just my pennys worth
Matt Black Wrapped 2009 GTR with litchfield stage 4.25

sounds good to me i thought it was just me you were after :-D
do you run the same thing around here as they show on tv were if car isnt taxed and insured it seized and a fee to get it back if not its crushed???
car tax on fuel would just be another excuse to raise prices, plus no good for big companys who do miles!!

Mob handed from what I saw too..........points win prizes eh Chris?
In fact you'd be wrong.. It was actually an ANPR operation we were conducting.
Link for anpr http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automatic_ ... ecognition
Using a vehicle fitted with anpr we are able to target vehicles with no keeper, no tax, no insurance, information markers, stolen, crime markers..
You'd be surprised how many vehicles we stopped and dealt with and also how many criminals too!!!

EVO 7 with 2300cc,GT35,HKS 272's,1000cc,MOTEC...the list goes on..
point taken on the tax gary - I am sure that the amount raised by car tax would be a drop in the ocean compared to scrapping it and saving all that bureacracy.
4 policemen for a day isnt cheap let alone judges, court costs, DVLC computer systems etc etc - blanace that against what is raised and I am sure there wouldnt be much in it.
Such a waste to crush cars though - why not sell them on and put the money to good use?
