Bit of mixed day for me and Bart. :?
Fuel economy was excellant.
But she did use about 3 litres of water per lap :(
We had to short shift whilst out on track but were still able to test out the suspension upgrades and the new brakes. The brakes are a massive improvement over the standards.

We have come away annoyed but not dispondant. We did not feel out of place or depth and met some very nice people today

It feels great to be a member of such a freindly and dedicated club,
Thanks Stu. & Dunc.

We're going to make a decision over this weekend as to how we go about solve our problem. If that means a total strip down and rebuild then so be it. The car WILL be back out on track by the end of march / beginning of April. :)

I laughed so much at the wheel-less Golf I had to go round for a second look !!!

:D :D :D

OK - I was waffling and missed the pitlane !!!

Highlights of the day for me included.....

Hearing Bens brakes trembling with fear at the thought he might get up to 100mph on Revetts ;) :D
Ronnie telling me precisely how the mud got on the track - and how he almost felt he had "imagined" the surreal spinning object !!!
Explaining that some numpty fookwit had already gone off and coated the track in mud - at which point Dan/Trev and Stuart all accepted liability !!!
Going out in Garys Evo/Scud missle at the end of the day - very impressive amount of grip that things got !!! Its quite nippy too !!!
The tussle with Mark for 15 minutes was awesome - he knows !!! ;) :D
Coming clean about my 7th car purchase to Karen which I did 6 months ago but hadnt told her about - to which she merely said she was going to buy (yet) more shoes this weekend
Dans face after taking him out for a few gentle laps
Oh and I got a chance to practice my waving skills for when Im famous like ;) :D !!!!

Tops !!!

Well I had an awesome day.

I had my first ever spin at riches early on in the day and ended up on the inside of the corner :thumb:

I was having lots of fun before lunch thinling I was going pretty much as fast as I could. I took Sarah out and she is a very nervous passenger at the best of times :D but she was fine, even thought she was in the car when I spun it. :D

After lunch I booked a tuition session with Ben Devlin and then realised that not only could the car cope with a lot more than I had given it but so could I :):) I ended up going through Riches about 30-35 mph quicker than I had in the morning sessions. I would recommend a tuition session to anyone, no matter how fast you think you are, you will undoubtedly go quicker after one. I took Sarah and a few others out again and they all said I was so much quicker and more like a proper driver :D:D

I can't say how pleased I was with the improvement of the brakes with the Brembos and Project Mu discs over last years standard brakes. I did have to bleed the brakes after lunch once Ben Devlin had shown me how to drive properly, so I think better fluid is the only thing needed to prevent fade next time.

All in all I ha a great day. sorry we didn't stay for the meet, I would have loved to but we needed to get our passengers home and we were all getting tired. After all I did get up at 4.30 :D.

Thank you Stu and Big Power, I can't wait to do it again soon.

Well after a day of watching you all go round through my lens and I have to say everyone was getting noticably quicker as the day went on, I bit the bullet and got a final passenger lap with Woody1 in the Fiesta :)

My oh my!! I couldn't stop laughing all the way round and we only lost it twice :)

Great day, great people, great club :)

Note to Kev~
You Sir are an animal. You are also a pretty good driver and have a great handling 200 there.

The grip generated by the chassis was surprising and those AP brakes were a revelation. The single most impressive factor in both yours and Garys cars in my opinion.

Thanks for the passenger laps. It was huge fun :thumb:

I think very few people didnt spin yesterday - I certainly did twice (once in the wet and once when bone dry whilst overexcited about going past Stu :) ) although stayed on the tarmac on the inside of the curve both times :D

No mud on my car
