So close yet so far. We've well and truely hit a brick wall with the engine now and it's more and more likely that our only option is going to be to pull the engine and build it again. The early problems we had meant that the build got all out of sequence and the double valve springs never got fitted.
We're at the point now that we were looking and need to fit the springs and a second cam but we can't get this done without removing the head and we don't want to do that unless we get the head ported.
At some point i'm going to have to start ringing a few tuners to get quotes to strip and rebuild the engine.
Every tuner has their own idea of whats needed and i was recently told that we need to long stud the block at the moment its ARP nut and studded, also they won't map it on omex (personal preferance) and all these little extras cost.

She's all good :hurray:

Had the car checked over this morning and everything is good with her. Fuelling, boost/power all good and safe. Our main issue, that of having nothing below about 5000rpm is also being looked into but damn when the boost kicks in it 'KICKS IN' and the bhp is still climbing strong at the shift light (6800 rpm).

438bhp @ 24psi

So before we open the engine we will focusing on improving the boost curve so we are full boost earlier and longer and we'll see how that goes. As we were about to leave the next car turned up a Focus MK2 RS Race car from the Ford Racing Series.

Graphs to follow soon for 'Dr Haywood' to look over :)

Thanks Gary :) .
After the runs it was mentioned that we might need to look at the wastegate spring as we have no idea of what poundage it is. I'll have to try and find the graphs from when we had the car on your dyno.
