I'd be very happy if we got ours down to around 1150kg.

Not much, well nothing is going on with the race car. 2 weeks ago Alans GT went bang and a week after Waynes engine went bang:banghead:. Luckily Alan had bought a spare earlier in the year, as he wants to build a 2.3 conversion, so that had to be huridly fitted so Wayne could use it to get to work. Now the boys are stripping Waynes engine to see if it can fixed.

We should be doing some work on the race car soon. Well christmas day actually, beers permitting:willy_nilly:

Got a couple of plans for it but will see how things go with it first.
1. Possible colour change
2. Respray alloys
3. Twin exhaust system
4. K&N filter

I would save your cash for front suspension bits like drop links (they eat them) and fuel. You've got me looking at these again ;)

The fuel i'm not to concerned about as it has already proved it's better than the Frontera on a run, so hoping it will be slightly better when towing. Thanks for the head ups about the suspension, I might start getting some spares in.

I live and work in a rural area, often traversing farm tracks etc so I'd expect that my use of a heavy 4x4 will be a lot tougher than most people's.

I remember Alan complaining about the understeer from the Frontera and how he had to take to bites at the wheel to get it to turn in. So i just pointed out maybe he should driving it like his GT.

Lost a sponsor - Liqui Moly -

They are not importing anymore of their race spec oil due to low sales in the UK and a 20% increase in premium. So now need to find what oil we can switch to and it's not that simple. When the engine was built and run in we then added an additive to the oil that coated all surfaces. CeraTec.
