PISSED OR WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!RULE CHANGE!!!!!!!!!
People have thought that were mad and way outclassed to enter TA against 600bhp cars. BUT we knew that we were doing the right thing and in with a strong chance of a podium. Not scoring points at the first round was not part of the plan but we were still confident of achieving some of our goals.
After a lot of research going back to 2008 I was able to determine that every car that won club class had a pwr/weight ratio of approx. 400 bhp/tonne. This took into account the 5% rule. (If you put up a time within 5% of the fastest time in club pro you received a strike, 3 strikes and you had to move up a class).
At thye start of this season we were surrounded by some very powerful and quick cars but we weren't worried as we knew they would fall foul of the 5% rule, and they did. One driver after round one did the honourable thing and after the first round requested to move to club pro which he has now done, and after knockhil a further two teams had 2 strikes against them. Now I COULD get really sinnical about thereasons behind the change but i won't.
We had calculated that after Brands there would only be 4 teams in our class, now bear in mind that last year there was only 3 teams in club RWD.
The rule change is that now the 5% rule has been changed to 2.5% which changes everything..............
How this will affect things with our sponsors I don't know as yet. As they are all aware of the statergy and planning which we as a team had gone into.
We built a club class car to suit the rules........now
The rules have changed to suit SOME cars...........
Rant over:cuss:

if the rules had not been changed then we had a good chance this season mate, its just a shame really that the rule been changed.
the 2 cars to benifit from this unknown reason rule change are the,
MILTEX R35
PRO-R scooby
we built a "club class" car as it should be for that class were as the other cars apart from 1 other are fully fledged race cars which should be in class above i mean what the hell is a 900bhp car doing club class.
the 5% rule has been changed for a reason and i would love someone to try and explain it to me, i have my own thoughts but that will stay with me for now.
time attack is losing it ruts from what it started out as.
personnaly i think club class should be for road legal cars, someone jo public can relate to, thats what got us interested in the first place.
if i was to see it now for the first time i would just think it was just another race series for high powered cars.
wounder if startline Al would like to post the reason?
