Roll on 2012 as things have got to get better
2011~ What a year
2011 has been a bloody awful year for me. Off work all year with health problems. Death of my dad and father in law. Had to remortgage the house to carry on paying the bills
but I have managed to keep hold of the Evo and trade the wife's Focus in for a newer Fiesta

The headlamp washers for the hids have no pipework, easy fix that. But from what I read about all factory fitted safety stuff having to all still be there and working I may be forced to fit seat air bags back in, as always the new rules are nice and grey.russ979 wrote:What have you got to worry about with nigel and next years MOT mate?
I will ignore the fact your morgage free............ Lucky sod!:)

The airbags are absolutly nothing to worry about mate;). It has a working airbag system just without the seat bags. All warning lights (which is what will be tested from next march/april) work and fuction as they should.maff wrote:The headlamp washers for the hids have no pipework, easy fix that. I seriously hope that you have a better 2012 Tony, about time things tipped in your favour for a change.

For me, following the Staples car changing program. I went from this;

To this;

Then to this;

The year has also had many down sides to it, mainly family orientated. But that's a sore subject.
Next year, will be kicking it off with some offroading, trip to Paris (first time flying and leaving the uk) Then later on in the year flying to Australia (hopefully) and my adoreable little 5 foot sidekick beauty will be visiting here for two months, so I can't wait for her to come back.
Vehicle wise for 2012? Well, as stated I have the Pajero, and will be doing a lot of offroading with dad. But, there is a little modest Toyota that I wouldn't mind owning

But with that, we will see.
Still have lots of places to explore with the doom truck first.

2011 has been a rather good year for me ive been to Holland for work 6 times working on a new and exciting project with more planned trips for 2012 and one visit to the south of France.
Arachnid project to simulate the removal and instialltion of a Pratt and Whitney JT3D.

Final landing of a NATO 707 after 23 years service, next year will see it contverted in the world largest aviation training aid.

Ive owned and sold a dream car (M3) after the X5 sold at the begining of the year, but if iam honest I never really enjoyed it like its replacment!
E46 M3 convertible.

Sti Hawkeye

Had this a coulpe of months now exhust, filter and remap giving it an unproven 330bhp.
Ived had a couple of vans for the work commute and now on the hunt for something a bit bigger!

Downside being not one track day, just the sprint at Marham in the Tiger this need to be put right in 2012 wok permitting July and snett 100% as its are summer shut down.
Hope that people who have had a crap 2011, 2012 if a much better year!

My new years resolutions have err.... not worked out that well-ish.
I did go to Paris on my first ever flight which I really enjoyed
Visited the Eiffle Tower and Notre Dame. I've decided on not buying another car now as I'm quite happy with the Pajero working as nature intended. My trip to oz has fallen on stoney ground as the air fares have literally doubled and are set to go much higher as the year progresses. So no way will I be able to afford the ticket + spending money, will have to put this forward to next year.
Still, can't grumble really. Things for me personally haven't been that bad.
