i recon it will be really really close now mate i also added 50 kilos of rollcage remember

We have BOTH run a 13.1!:coolgleamA:
First one into the 12`s???
well well well what a weekend,
i was lucky enough to be able to go on the club gti show stand at gti international (the big one)
and not only that i was parked up next to the original kamei golf racer, the holy grail in vw motorsport, the first mk1 racer from way back in 1976, the car was found in america where it had been since the early eighties and bought by a lucky chap called nick a few months ago, who also owns a replica kamei car pushing out very good power that he races regulary, he was recently in performance vw with the reeves mk1
anyway the car is awesome, pretty battered and used but as it should be

nick and me were very dissapointed as we planned to run mine and the kamei up the strip sunday afternoon, the car has not been driven through the gears since it landed in england and only started
after a little tinkering and a fiddle with the wiring the beast fired into life with flames flying out the carbs, and a noise to die for out the side exit exhaust
he tried it on the short handling course but was so cammy it was useless
when we left the campsite sunday morning he opened the taps and it sure seemed to go alright with me and jamie following in mine
a real shame the strip tickets had all sold out before lunch
we saw noel and his buddy there in the super caddy and camped up with them, noel won his class on the saturday and recieved a trophy
but after saturday night the caddy didnt run on the sunday even after having an invite to the finals
the drive home was the worst bit, i now know what its like to be a turkey in the oven for a good couple of hours in intense heat

i didnt get hear a negative comment all weekend and was great chatting to nick and others about actually using your car and proper tweaks rather than stretching tyres etc..
