Anyone doing 2011

Post by pablo »

Was just wondering if there was anyone else thinking about doing the 2011 season.

Unlikely, whatever I will be driving.

I have lots of time for the guys that run it and I get on well with several competitors, but I just can't see myself having the money to compete. I wouldn't want to make the numbers up mate.

I do hope to compete next year in something, but I have no idea what. I need to start clearing a load more money before that will happen anyway.

I think I'll have a far better idea about this sort of thing by the end of the year. Finances will be more predictable after November and I'll also have 'done' Cadwell and Brands in the Golf by then too.

What are your plans?

We'll be doing Time Attack next year and also hope to do it the year after as well. We have several clear goals that we would like to achieve next season, realistic goals for our limited budget. I have been surfing quite a few other forums and what people spend on a season, without taking account for building the car is almost double what we budget for.

Gary if you wanted your evo in time attack i'm fairly sure that Bart would

Sell our car, without telling me.
Sell my house by some method
Cash in my life insurance
And even sell his right nut

Just to get a chance to drive that beast:smilielol5:

I'm not saying I don't trust Bart, I'm just saying that I know Bart:bart:

Gary, if you ever fancy rallying that Saxo, give me a shout  You and your EVO on a rally stage would scare the shit out of me!! I don't know if I'd be more scared of the power, the proximity to large immovable objects or your driving ;)

Gary,
Rally stages are slippery places mate, I know you're used to that with the oil your car drops but even so........:smilielol5:
Seriously though, having been lucky enough to come out for a few laps, I'd happily queue up for that ride:driving:
