on my wedding day i was out on an old airfield playing with 1/5th scale petrol rc cars with my best man until about an hour before i was supposed to be there, once we realised the time it was a mad rush to get back/ cleaned up and suited, nerves kicked in when i was late and in traffic otherwise a walk in the park
good luck with your big day

good luck with your big day

Strippers and alcohol.
Enough of both to feel guilty, this'll help take your focus off of what lies ahead.
Failing that, get rid of everything you cherish, have no time to do what you want, watch shit on telly, and become quite miserable. Once you're prepared for the life ahead, there's nothing to be nervous about.
Bet you're glad you asked now!
Good luck on your big day anyway!!

'How did you deal with nerves?'
I didn't. 16 years later we're still happy and still ignorant to the hassle that the day seems to present
Save yourself the nerves and go halves on the money that you would sling into it mate. You could buy yourself something very tasty instead!

Harsh replies I think!
Maybe I am saying that because I get married the week after!
Each to their own, I know why we are doing it and we have planned a great day. I know we could have done it el-cheapo and used the money for something else, but we both wanted to and have saved for it, so we're not strapping ourselves up to do it.
Mr Windscreen, there's no point having nerves, just be excited about your day. I get butterflies every once in a while. I prepared early for my speech, so aren't too worried about that. We are doing most of the planning ourselves and are even making alot of the stationary and 'props' ourselves, so are keeping busy!!
Good luck!
