I think legally they can't force you to go anywhere they specify as long as the company you have chosen is a proper, VAT registered company. They may bicker about costs but that is to be expected.
Just bear in mind who they are recommending; it may be an alternative if you think their work is good enough. What about Chris at H-Tech for example?
I take it the accident will put the car into the 'recorded' file? If so, you need to consider that for any kind of residuals.

Well, I had BMW ring me yesterday to say that the assessor has been to see the car and has accepted the quote which BMW quoted before.
BMW seem to think that they are just waiting for authorisation now from Admiral before they start the work... Still no word from Admiral, but BMW seem to think they will get the go ahead on Friday at the latest.
