This will have a big impact on spares unless scrapping still means it can go to a breakers yard ? The scrap guys must love it !!!!
When it says 'UK Spec' does that mean no imported cars ?
Wonder if the big discounts that have been on previously like 10k off a 350z, free Polo with Toureg etc will still be running ?
But yeah it will definitely work for guys who have passed their test and been driving for a year in a rotbox then looking to get something better. It will be a damn site cheaper getting the money off a new car. However if most of these people are trading them in will it be the end of the cheap first car ?

The scrappage charge will only apply to "list price"!!!!
And only New cars (nearly new and pre reg is still under discussion)
And yes this excludes japanese / irish / jersey
Now for those in the know and the likes of you and me this could actually mean that if you push a hard bargain you could negotiate a better price or "cost to change" with the dealer based on a discount.
