Go Kart Experience

We all arrived a little early. Jase, Tony, David and I went to sign in and received the all important meal vouchers. Next, to be suited up in cotton boiler suit and into the briefing. The brief consisted of a

Definitely! How about a different place next time though, like Red Lodge in their twin-engine pro-karts if they still have them. Or better again, perhaps, Daytona in Milton Keynes advertise 2-stroke 'Daytona Max' karts for hire.

Kiss my arse :) I found out at 3.30pm on Tuesday that I would be working nights in London on Thursday and Friday. I rang Gerry and apologised for the short notice but I wouldn't be able to attend. We agreed that I should see if Jason would like to go along (I'd still pay) so the call was made; thankfully Jason said 'yes' and the rest is forum fodder.

The reason for the explanation is simple; I can't stand saying I'm going to do something and then I don't or can't.

Abandoning the GTR project, was done because we had closed the business, sold our house and cashed all of our chips. Shit happens. Certainly wasn't down to 'spec creep' as had been mentioned by someone who knew better.

Dropping the kart event wasn't through choice either, as outlined above.

If my reaction seems strong, maybe it is. But then I can't very well have the concept for a forum or club where bullshit isn't tolerated, start that forum or club up and then be seen to talk shit with the best of the bar room wannabes, now can I?

Glad you had a great night. Shame about the kart. Roll on the next one.

I had a call from the organiser, the following day, to ask how we'd enjoyed it.

I told him we didn't and gave the reason why and it was unlikely that we'd look to do another. I also told him about BP and the possibility of our looking for future event hosts.

He did say to make contact to discuss discounts if ever we recover from Thursday's 'arse kicking'

Meanwhile, I'm still licking my wounds :D
