Another Karting thread

Ok, I've got 4 from Team Ixion lined up (including me) and have emailed kartsport.

Gerry - I mentioned this is in addition to the one team already registered from bigpower. I can't do anything other than email for next few days (soaking up the sun in Lanzarote on hol at moment

) but I'll check email and the forum to see if anything else needs doing in the meantime.

Looking forward to this one!

The team isn't registered as BigPower because it's supposed to be for Engineering companies. As I'm a one-man-band, I thought I'd do a little recruitment for this occasion.

If you have a problem, you need to speak to Scott Skipper. I don't know whether mentioning my name will help but I'm sure all they're interested in is getting thec places sold.

Yup, I'll handle our team's costs and can send you the deposit (can do paypal if you need it before next weekend).

and also for 4 x meals. Presume the burger & chips is OK. Couldn't get hold of Tony to ask whether he wants the meal but I'm sure it won't go begging for long if he doesn't

We need to think up a team name and a team captain's name (humorous) Any suggestions?

We also need to nominate a team Cap'n

Now we're rapidly approaching the night of this race, now might be a good time to mention...............or confess.....................I've never actually driven a go kart before :oops:

Therefore, I think, I'm not the best candidate for team captain. Maybe someone with a little previous and who can think tactics would be a better choice :-D

If your seroius about doing well then put your best driver out first and for a longer stint, then do 3 shorter stints for the slower drivers.

Also, let your quickest driver qualify last so then the tyres etc are nicely warmed up and you get a good grid slot for the race.

if your just doing it for fun, then it doesn't matter!!! The biggest drifts past the pits gets beers bought by the other team members afterwards!!!
