I am going to have a go at painting my second boot lid on my impreza, I would like to have it done by a body shop, but they seam to be asking alot of money so far.
I will fill up the holes in the boot, as i would like to go the spoilerless look.
I will probley buy the paint from halfords, the type that they mix up to your colour.
bits needed so far
sand paper, different grades
p38 filler
stronge glue and something to stick on the underside of the spoiler holes
acid etch primer x1
colour match paint x2
clear lacqure x1
anything else that i might need?
thanks
ian

Hi Ian!
Please please please dont spray your scoob with anything other than 2k base coat (or a water base system) But most importantly, make sure you use a 2k lacqure, anything else just wont last! Its one of those things that you just cant cut corners! Try a trade paint supplier, like hardwick road garage here in king`s lynn (01553 773321) They can supply you with everything you need, to do a top job!
Good luck :!:
