Im after some advice etc.I want to replace the harnesses i currently have from the old car with some new ones and want to have the harnesses in permantly but dont want to lose the rear belts for passengers and still want to be able to use the front seat belts.
Can this be done if so which type of belt do i need? Also I would like to have the quick release type buckle as the ones ive got at the moment just have a normal lap belt fitment.
Just replace the bolts used to secure the original belts with the eye bolts so it doesn't effect the fixing, longer eye bolts can be soured if needed. I had to weld up one of the buckles so i could secure it in the original fixing as it was a stud rather than a bolt.
" Uh Betty you should of seen this car in Ely today!! it had stickers and stripes
all over it, and when it started up, the noise!!!, I could feel my teeth rattling!!!"
Go for the ones that use the eyebolts for fixing as this should go through the normal seat belt fixing into the chassis. As for the quick release style, I would go for something like the Luke Pro 4. I have them fitted in the Golf and use these in conjunction with my regular seat belts.
