Heh, I did the same thing. Went and downloaded the PDF thinking it would have changed.

There were some changes in there but not this one.... confused.

I think i will stick fit them to be honest as it is a useful precaution to the bonnet flying up.

Duncan, i would still fit them tbh.

As a test, sit in your seat, strap the harness up tight and then try and open the bonnet ;)

Just had an email out today...

"For your information Rule 9.4 in the rules & regulations which relates to locks etc has been removed.

To clarify

You MUST use bonnet pins IF you replace the OE bonnet or boot with FRP/Carbon items.

If you are using the stock items this is not a requirement in Club Challenge."

So no bonnet pins needed for OE bonnets, hoorah! :)

Michael, when you get your car back, try the test i suggest!

Unless you sit very very close, you aint reaching the bonnet release!

Just a quick question are you allowed to have bullit cameras fitted to your car :?:

Yes you are


16.3 Video, film and photographic (including performance related test equipment) is prohibited from all
vehicles unless expressly authorised by the Time Attack Series officials in advance and installation approved by
the scrutineer.
