It will do any pre 97 model, but is the Gp N chip soldered into the ECU motherboard or in a socket?

it is in the spare socket which all pre 97's have in the ecu, this was so STi could add addtional mapping to their rally and race cars, to swtich to this chip you just cut one of the resistors on the board. My old wrx had this on a switch so you could switch between normal and 'chipped' - Not that it happen offen :wink:

sorry I guess you know the above, the J1 resistor is the one which has been removed from my ECU. to allow it to read the chip in the socket
