Youth admits filming 130mph drive
A youth admitted dangerous driving after footage posted on the internet showed him hitting speeds of 130mph.
Danny Hyde, 18, of Stowmarket, Suffolk, was seen driving with one hand while using his mobile phone to record a journey along the A14 near Ipswich.

Ipswich Magistrates' Court heard Hyde was traced and arrested after police received an anonymous e-mail informing them of the clip on a networking site.

Officers had already seen him on the road at the time of the offence.

'Gross stupidity'

The footage switched between showing the road ahead and the speedometer of Hyde's R-registered Astra.

Hyde pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, between 1 July and 30 August last year.

Magistrates were shown the clip and saw Hyde's car race past other vehicles on the road at the time.

Prosecutor Andrea Reynolds said Hyde's car had travelled at speeds of "up to" 130mph.

Ian Duckworth, defending, said Hyde had immediately accepted his guilt and had shown "gross stupidity".

Bench Chairman Anne Parry warned Hyde he could be jailed when he is sentenced on 21 February.
