Going back to my earlier question, do you have tracking numbers etc? I had a dispute with Parcel Farce over customs charges, but if I decided not to pay they would send it back to Japan! I had to pay and then claim back. Basically, be careful, as if the call was genuine and you dont pay, it may be on its way back to where it came from.

Well kinda, they gave me a reference number, but like i say i couldn't understand the guy so the chances are a few digits are prob wrong.

I'll call Customs again later and see if they can track it down.

If I were you I would speak to the person you purchased the goods from. Ask them what carrier they used and what the tracking number is.

You should also try getting the goods either:

Marked down in price
Marked as a gift

or my favourite is to get it shipped as a replacement or example parts with no value, then nothing to pay.

Obviously this is a little hit and miss as you need a friendly shipper, but it does work plenty trust me

When i purchased my OBDII cable from the US i got a note through the door to say i would have to pay customs tax and postal carrier handling/admin charge before it was released. I was expecting the customs charge but not the handling/admin charge. I thought i had already paid for delivery charges in the US. Apparently not!! I'll be wiser next time

Some legal scam eh?? What a ripoff!! :x
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

I can understand that one. The seller has no control over what happens when it lands here. The agent has to sort the paperwork, pay the duty & VAT and then deliver it. Delivery charge is in with your shipping but the other bits aren't.

I've just posted a turbo to Ireland, via the PO, for

I have tried and no reply. I know it's a repsectable company as they are listed on the Qauife USA website.

That's handy to know thanks.

I've tried the down in value one a couple of times. but a replacement part is a good idea will try that next time.
