I take it you have done a deal with Ultralite then? Good work :thumb:
You'll love the R888's, I recently fitted some to my track car and they are very impressive.

One thing I meant to ask.............do you know the weight of your car now that you have stripped it out properly?

weight - no idea. Its lost a fair bit, but there is still a few heavy items i want to dump that i just havent got round to.

Its lost the AC pump/rad/pipework etc, all the interior BUT it still has HICAS

Maybe 50kg to 100kg saved... but around 40kg added with the cage

Thanks for your answer Adam. More research needed on my part then as I ideally wanted to shed 300kgs and keep it road legal.............well, that was one of the plans.

Best of luck for Saturday. Say hello to Dunk in the blue STi and Mike in the white classic Impreza. The boys are making the long trip up so a friendly face will be good for them.

Also keep an ey e out for Bladey (James) He'll be driving the mad S13 Orange drift car in the EDC.

Once again, best of luck.

300 kg is a hell of a lot to lose!

Dont even think the likes of Keiths R32 are that light!

Ripping sound-deadnign out will save around 12+kg
The front seats are around 18kg each
The AC pump is bloody heavy
Most of the other interior is pretty light

Yeah I know Adam. I managed to get 440kgs out of my Sierra and that's still caged and has all original panels in place, so I'm sure somewhere near 250~300kgs is doable, I'll just have to have a good think first of all, and plan it out.

My main project starts again in September, so I'll keep you posted. We have MSA calibrated weigh bridge facilities at the track so I'll see if they would let me use them and do a before and after to keep it bullshit free.
