R32 GTR track car

A brief (compared to other threads) history of my R32.

Had it since late 2006. Bought standard with a few exterior 'touches' and some 'interesting' ICE.

The interior was stripped, cage fitted, buckets and 6pt harnesses.
Brake calipers refurbed, MS stopper and braided lines fitted, DBA 4000 discs with DS 3000 pads
TEIN RS Circuit Master suspension fitted + 2x EDFC

ahh feck... here is the spec

TEIN RS Circuit Master coilover suspension with rebound/compression adjustment and remote reservoirs.
2 EDFC units
Nismo Rear Arms
Front & Rear strut braces
DBA 4000 slotted discs
Ferrodo DS 3000 pads
Motul Dot5.1 brake fluid.
APP braided brake lines.

Dunlop Slicks on Kai Office Modia lightweight forged 17"x9" rims (track)
Standard R32 GTR forged 16" wheels with road tyres (road)

Nice!! How easy was it to fit the headlight vent?? I,ve just got one for mine.

same one or an ebay special?

(think its a Silk Racing or such one above)

Mine is just held on with cable ties but the kit does come with nuts bolts to mount it using the OE headlight mounting points. Its a much much much better fit over the ebay special GRP ones with no lights.

One or two downsides to it. The mesh needed a bit of adjustment to fix it in properly. Just used GRP resin.
The LED's for part of the light (full beam i pressume) fell out. Well the wire came out when i was playing around with it. I just ripped em both out.

two things. How do you get on with the brakes? I have the R34 Brembos with Performance Friction pads, braided lines etc. They're pretty good but so far behind AP's, Alcons etc..........from your spec sheet you seem to be running standard calipers

Secondly, what brand is the cage and where did you get it?

Lovely to see a 32 in its proper environment getting well and truly hammered :thumb:

Mines by Silk Road also. I changed the mesh in mine and I also had to fiddle about to get it to fit properly.

running std calipers and disc size.

The ferrodo DS3000's do a good job of stopping the car, and eating discs... I guess i havent pushed the car enough to get them to fade.
The brakes were truley shocking when i got the car, and i think most folks are! (15odd year old calipers that prob had more sticky pistons than not)

I gave the calipers a good refurb and the brakes are now much much better.

Its still running babyish power (450'ish) but the brakes are on the endless list of things to be improved.

Cage is Keith Cowies old one. CUSCO i think. Its only a temp measure too. Going to get a substantial welded in jobbie in time

Awesome car mate, i would love to have a R32 and use it for track only work.

I am running the same boost controller as you and really rate it.
Are you running an Apexi PFC?
