Thanks for the kind words Andy but to put the record straight, I may have got the class win but you both beat my time by over 1 second.

The weather really was crap and very changeable so the conditions were largely dependent on where you were in the queue as to how wet your run was and how much standing water there was.

I may have improved slightly if I'd changed from 888s to road tyres.

Logan would definitely have gone quicker without the handbrake on.

Andy pulled a quick one out of the bag when needed.

The FTD Quenby Impreza was awesome.

Roll on the next one :-D

A class win is a class win mate :D

  what a muppet..... :!:

See you boys at the next one, think I am gonna enter the Lydden Hill one....

One good thing came out of yesterday, is that I learned a bit more about how my car goes in the wet and played around with the diff settings...and that I still think my car is awesome, and am super chuffed with it :D It just needs a driver with a fully functioning brain.....and a fook off big sign saying HANDBRAKE on the dash :!: :!:

You are being a bit hard on yourself there chap. Like you say, 888s weren't the tyre of choice for the conditions and you beat a class that are out there pretty much every weekend pounding the circuits. Your car was flying.

Duncan, do you fancy coming out to play? I think you will be in me and logans class, though I'm not completley au fait with your cars spec. Should be well suited to sprinting though, especially on 070s if its dry!

OK, I'll give in gracefully :-D

Like you say though, the car was flying and it was great fun sliding round the roundabout trying to keep it pointed in the right direction.

I'm beginning to get the feel for the KWs and Zak's geometry. I've done about 50K miles in the car as a daily driver and sprint/track day machine on quite twitchy and then, wallowy suspension. This was the third outing since the KWs and the first wet sprint I've done.

I checked my figures from Debden last June, in the dry and it was 70.15 almost exactly the same as yesterday so it must be better.

Nice to know it's not smoking. Thanks for that.

BTW FTD was on RE070s
