Lol Duncan, well done for being responsible mate. I'd have just ignored her and driven off. When my car was rich (well more than now!) it used to pop and bang at very low revs. I remember stopping at some traffic lights, there was a lady walking her dog (a boxer) as I gave the car some revs (not much, honest!) because I thought the lights were gonna change but then let off because they werent the car popped and banged a couple of times. It drove the dog mad and it started barking and pulling the woman to the car. She got it under control and then was walking up to the car window whilst looking at me with a not very happy look on her face that looked like she was gonna say something not too polite !! Just then the lights turned green so I quickly went off. Em and I still laugh about it now !!!

People walking out in front of me are a nightmare when we drive round Taverham (in particular Thorpe Marriot), especially if I am driving home about 11:15 as there are always loads of lads coming home from the pub who either just walk out to be clever and get the traffic to stop or are completely oblivious to it because they are plastered !!

The funniest thing I have found is when people do walk out in front of you and are about 2/3 of the way over I rev the car a little so the dump valve goes. Gives them a shock !!

Yeah yeah juvenile I know !

But Dunc.....you are now a hooligan for hooning your car round the village !! Expect to be named and shamed in the Village Parish newletter lol

If i'm not being shouted at i'm just not trying hard enough;):)

My car seems to pop and bang a lot now, the obvious cresendo if you hit the limiter (Bee R) but it seems to bang occasionally for no reason, often when there is a little old lady close by.

Having a louder than normal exhaust, bodykit and especially decals can make your car seem to be going faster , certainly brings unwanted attention which is why we need to be so careful

I think it's the Bee-R by itself that bringing your unwanted attention .. matter of interest I was always told they are bad news ... i.e. cause your piston rings to fail .. I was going to fit one and was strongly talked out of it by Abbey.

Yeah they are bad news if you use them irresponsibly, ie turn the gain up high and hold the engine on them but i keep the gain down very low (4) and have a shift light so i almost never hit it on the road

The standard limiter on the skyline is a fuel cut , no good if you are running nitrous as it wont stop the engine revving, i've had to set the stock one to 7400 and the bee r to 7000 with the shift light at 6600

The car will pop at 1500-2000rpm around town usually when pottering about 20-30mph
