Post by goodap »

Hi guys I havnt really been on here much, as unfortunately my partner has decided to call it a day regarding our relationship.

So I havnt really been feeling upto contributing much  . Anyway now im over the initial shock etc, and im sure alot of you will have exprienced all this, either first hand or thru friends.

Im now in the situation of selling our house and am currently looking into a number of options regarding purchasing another one. Due to the stupidly high prices in Norwich now, purchasing a house on your own is very hard if not impossible average new build 2 bedroom house is

we chose (or the wife did anyways) our current house 'off plan' about 3yrs before the estate even existed, and registered our interest as they unloaded the site office off the back of a hiab wagon!!

never had any issue although we know the area well and had a good look at other developments the builder had already completed, not particuarly fussed about the new house thing but easiest and cheapest way of moving up the 'ladder'............
moved in and within 6months had added the planned extension (extra 2x bedrooms, one currently my study) and enlarged the garage - this was the reason this house was chosen as it was one of the only ones on the estate to have a little extra land (being a corner plot) and the right orientation for an upgrade..............

the above link may help you some information about shared ownership.

I hope it is of some use - I too would like to buy my own home but being a single parent its near on impossible,

also there is life after a split - just take your time in getting there

I really hate to try and put forward what I do on a site, but you could give me a shout if you like. After all, this is what I do for a living, but would never dream of trying to tout for business.

I am sure I could help, but give me a call if you look at this further.

Really sorry to hear about the situation, but the next thing you do not want is duff advice at a cost.
