My hands hurt, my eyes sting, my ears are ringing, my knees ache and my back feels like I have lifted a tonne :D

Ok, another busy day at APT and as it was Chip Friday, it was only Gary and myself there for the morning with Lord Connor, IT guru in the afternoon.

So with the mezzanine cleared of Evo doors, tyre racks, S14 bumpers and all manner of things that needed to be moved it was time to start taking up more flooring and the insulation too.

As you can see, the barriers were taken down safely so that customer cars (including the gorgeous 66 cherry red Mustang, and the huge power S2000 amongst others) were all protected. Trying to do this without putting my size twelves through the plasterboard with the Mustang roaring away on the dyno directly underneath me..........interesting :)

The space and light that was being created were welcome, but there is still a long way to go

Wherever possible, as much of the wood, screws and other materials will be reused

By 6pm all of the plaster board was down, the batons were removed and most of the roof joists were out too and the workshop and dyno area was pretty much tidy again. I'm back to valeting tomorrow and having a day off on Sunday before returning to APT for manual work on Monday again

No dramas mate  There was no way that roof area/framework was falling down with that lot in. My Dewalt needed CPR after two days of that.

Yeah, you and that bloody Hilti gun were cursed on plenty of occasions :D Did you actually hold it against the wood or just throw it up in the air and let it do it's own thing?

Lol well you will certainly have it cut out mate ;-) and I have worked out a fantastic way of making up and supporting the shuttering boxes so they are suspended off the base with nothing underneath them while we pour the concrete :-)
