D-Day 70 years on

I thought it appropriate to put this in the Gentlemans club.
Its been a really interesting day I have had Radio 2 on most of the day listenening to the broadcasts of today and old broadcasts of 70 years ago...listening to the veterans sharing their memories with the listeners.
At times harrowing to hear their stories and also very very interesting and also funny and sad at the same time.....I remember my grandparents and my parents telling me stories of the war times.
My grandfather was one of the Bletchley code breakers which no one in my family knew about until both he and my grandmother had passed away.
And so we should remember and respect these brave men and women as I would hope our children and our childrens children remember the veterans of more recent conflicts..
Ultimate respect is deserved !
