Reading a proposal like that underlines the different levels in sophistication of economic understanding. If anyone tried to pull off something like that in a 'democratic' society there would be linchings..unless it was in the UK in which case we would all moan long and hard about it, complaining bitterly about how unjust it all this, whilst bending over and asking for another few inches!
