Driving a fast Jap import is like coming out of the closet, you might surprise some people, but in the end you are still gay.

Try launching something with massive power and rear wheel drive, get a good quarter mile time and then tell me there's no challenge to it.

I used to think quarter mile stuff was a doddle.............and then I did it :o

I'll bow down to anyone who is seriously quick on the strip. It's an artform.

I agree with all of that, I've tried and I'm not that good really.

I do enjoy circuit stuff the best, sprints and hillclimbs, and could do it 100X a year and not get bored. More than a few trips to the dragstrip in a year would bore me. But maybe because I'm crap!

I think I did 17's runs in a afternoon though the last time I went, and was the last man standing on my own at the end until the timing people started packing up.

I echo your preferences Kev, but after sampling how hard it is to do it well, I had to reverse my opinion of drag racing. I found it tough to get a good launch with my girl power levels (my 32 was normally rwd by the way) but to think of launching really big power and doing that in a consistent fashion with good results.................that's when I had to concede that there was a lot more to this straight line stuff than I imagined

Come on people - the rep points is a great idea and only a handful of people use it .... it's a way of showing that someone has said / done a great job, posted a great thread ... it all helps.

So go on - if you see something that you like give that person a rep point.
