New BP banner.....

Post by ScoobieWRX »

The new style of banner writing makes it like look our cars belong on Scrapheap Challenge or worse on the dump!! My wagon probably does :D but that font looks bloody awful and difficult to read/notice the smaller font below the BIGPOWER.co.uk from any distance.
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

These things are always up for some debate and as a member i feel i have a right to comment, but i haven't posted this just to piss anyone off.

I don't happen to like it, i've given my honest opinion as to why not and that's all it is, just my opinion.

I won't go along with the crowd just to be in the majority if it's not the way i feel. I looked at it and that's the first thing that popped into my head...Scrapheap Challenge and Junkyard.

I've only just read the other thread now you've mentioned it. My post is here for everyone to see.

I'll go and get some popcorn now. Salted with heaps of melted butter :D

Fair debate. The only thing I would ask for expansion/clarification on is whether Francis' comment about 'scrapheaps' is the quality of the cars or something else?

Can't be the quality of the cars. He hasn't seen the Betty update thread yet :D

Stuart the quality of cars on BP is nothing short of amazing, but it's just the style of font reminds me of something mechanical but not nice mechanical, scrap in fact. That font wouldn't look out of place advertising a junkyard.

I don't think the font reflects what BP is about, more the opposite and i just don't like it.

It's only my opinion and by the comments on the other thread doesn't reflect the general concensus. Fair enough, what do i know anyway.

It might grow on me:icon_bs: :D

If I'm honest I wasn't initially too keen on the new style, but it has grown on me. ;)

I'm intrigued how the new stickers will look though- I'm guessing it'll be a tricky design to recreate? Anyone want some 'old' BP stickers for the 'retro' look? :D
