Normally I would be the one shooting a 16 - but this time I went for shooting the Digi SLR.

The Huey is a machine of beauty ... :)

It is - managed to fire 400 rounds of 5.56 in about 22 minutes at a cost of 25 per 100 !!!.

The Huey cost 3500 to fly it to the show and then 20 for every minute the skids are off the ground - we were meant to fly with it but the CAA decided it was a bad idea :(

I've been a re-enactor for about 10 years. I've downsized my collection considribly - it was the sale of my vietnam gear that allowed me to buy my skyline.

I've done quite a few cool things due to the hobby i.e. TV documentary called Clash of the titans - M16 versus the AK47.

A documentary about Re-enactment ... all sorts of stuff.

Some people think it's odd .. i'm used to that now.

As to more shows - unfortunately this was the last one this year. Between the members of the group we have access to jeeps, trucks, gun trucks an M113 APC plus the rather nice Huey (It was the owners first display of this kind - so if he's happy - there may be more)

I love all stuff like that, always have. I had an old jeep once, but never got any more involved than that, at the time I did want to, but worked packed up, so I couldn't devote as much time as I wanted. If you could let me know next time there is a show, I'd like to visit, thanks.

I am so relieved that you were talking about choppers that take off ;)

Looks like enormous fun mate. I describe you to my mates as 'the posh arms dealer'

P.s. anyone want an M38 jeep and trailer - used in vietnam circa 1964 by a genuine A-team.

Needs a good home.
