Snetterton charity race day

Post by pedGSR »

Anyone else go today?

Crap weather all day but what a major let down. Not a patch on last year.

No car stands except mx5 owners club and hardly any cars to perv over. And hardly any trade stands or anything like that.

Only exotic cars I see today were two Porsches and a few r35 gtrs.

Seemed badly planned and run this year. I feel this will be the death of the event. Really can't believe how disappointed I am with today. Such a shame

For me a Sunday has always been the wrong day to have it on. At least when it was held on a Saturday you still had Sunday to unpack the car and get everything stored back away and still have a little rest before going back to work on Monday. When your racing during the year you accept this but at the end of the year it's a lot of work for a charity event, so much easier just to put your hand in your pocket and make a donation. Just my thought.

Sounds like it was a total flop Pete!
A shame really although i am quite glad i spent the day warm and dry slobbed out on the sofa watching the gp instead.

Apart from being asked and then almost begged to drive again this year I didn't even register it was on this year ......no advertising or anything.
A shame because the idea is great but the execution is not......they are getting too greedy with prices and don't seem to pay attention to anyone else's opinion.
Also GP showdown and weather was never going to help.
