Nokia 1020 smashed to bits dilemma

Dear gents

My dilemma........

Dropped my Nokia Lumia 1020 (£500 and 41mp camera 4G monster) a few weeks back and patched it up, then subsequently destroyed it this morning= dead phone (long story). This phone was taken on a new contract in June with no insurance and I'm not prepared to claim on insurance for such stupidity, so that is not an option.

Do I;

a) buy a new 1020?
b) buy a cheaper PAYG Lumia and swap my micro sim into that one?
c) buy something else and chuck my micro sim into that?

Considerations before you reply :D

a) I like window phones
b) I don't really need the 41mb camera as it's turned out & that was the main draw of the 1020
c) I won't use insurance

Thanks guys :D

PS- If you need me on the phone please call 07775 856131 for now :grouphug:

Tesco mobile are doing a Samsung Galaxy something or other and a Hudl2 for £15 a month. That seems a good deal.
As for Windows phones, no clue really, I'm more an Android man.
Of your three options, I'd get a cheaper Lumia.

Guess they don't make Nokias like they used to, the old ones you could hammer in nails with.

How about this butter fingers?

or 25 of these:

That way for the same money, you will have a spare each time.

The Nokia Lumia 930 is a solid phone running Windows 8.1 with some good all round specs. I recommend buying a case/bumper for it to protect it.

My Nexus 4 has survived many-a-drop with a protective case
