Why is it that every time a new TV series is aired (on Sky especially) and my wife and/or I start to really get into it, some knob in the States decides to pull the plug and cancels the show?
Literally 90% of new shows on reaching the end of season 1 get shit canned with no chance of Season 2 ever getting a look in. The only reason being given by the powers that be appears to be "due to only pulling in 8-12 million viewers per week..." really only 8-12 million???
I don't get it.....in the UK we've had Dead-enders, Emmerdale, Corrie and other OZ tat that's been running for years (and usually just regurgitating the same bollocks story lines over and over again) however when something new and inventive comes along from the US writers it gets shoved in the bin never to be seen again after never really having been given a fair shout.
Granted, not to everyone's taste but Some of which:
-The Event
-Intelligence
-Almost Human
-Believe
-The Secret Circle
-Star Crossed
-Supernatural (Season 9 and 10 has been dropped on Sky) *this really pissed me off as I'd just sat down and watched Season 1-8 on DVD and Sky (loads of time on my hands obviously)

I watched the last episode of Almost Human this evening and at the end I actually said to my wife that 'I bet they've cancelled the show before Season 2' and what do you fookin' know....they have, the bastids'!!!!
anyway, moan over....there's always Albert pissing square to fall back on....or not
