Thought i would give one a try as not owned an Audi before. They seem to be pretty well built and can take the miles/abuse although have their fare share of issues (sensors, coilpacks etc)
A 2001 facelift S3 in black with the lovely heated electric Recaros. Done 130K but drives well. Alot around with this sort of mileage and more which means they are on the road alot rather than not used or broken. Ones advertised as low mileage have 90K+!!
Needs a couple of jobs doing, but should be ready next week to try out.

I looked at this car before I bought mine
It was really cheap and needed some loving
Think they sold it to a valeter guy as I see it up again from him

Thanks guys,
Yes Trev, bought it off a valeter in Suffolk.
Driven a few customers ones short distances and liked the luxurious feel compared to the Pulsar. The Pulsar is rare now and too nice to drive through the winter so thought i would buy a cheap S3 to try out. If i like it i may change it for a nice low mileage one next year, but they attract a massive premium at

Last guy must have done the front wheel bearing
It was the noisiest bearing I have ever heard and surprised the wheel didn't fall off
It did seam to drive alright though apart from that
I looked at it in Norfolk just past the showground
You are right they do feel quality compared to some cars
And great for the winter ( the main reason I wanted one)
