Simplify & remove brackets...

4x(x+3)-(x+3)2 (last 2 is squared, can't see how to make it little

)

I thought I had this one, but substituting x for a number my smaller version doesn't match the long version

3x2+6x-9

The two is supposed to be squared but when I resized it, it came up like that. I referred this question to an ex-student so if it's incorrect, I can pass the blame on to them.

I tried to follow the question but I am so out of practice........good luck with your studies. I have 'done' two counselling/CBT qualifications and another one in teaching in the last three years, and feel totally drained now! (And they were only level 4's! Is your HND a 4 or 5?)

Edexcel's stuff (the awarding body) can be level 4 or 5, but the fact that they 'allow' up to 5 years open learning suggests that the course is level 5.

I think it should be
-2x+3-x(^2) last 2 is square

my workings are
4x+12-(x+3)(^2)

4x+12~x(^2)+6x+3(^2)
