I assume your not planning on being unemployed forever? So these ideas will still be relevant when you decide which direction jobwise you take.

My advice is you need a car you can get you're teeth into and are passionate about, so you don't get bored after 5 mins.

I agree and think it's about time I bought something 'decent' even if it takes a while to get something. My dilemma is quite simple. A fast car is not a priority but I get bored, can't be arsed to save and the first thing I find when I have a spare grand or so gets bought. I know it's daft, but that's how it's been for a while.
