2011~ What a year

Went from

to this in less than twelve months and I've broke even (excluding running costs)

I've gone from a job I pretty much hated into one with more prospects, more challenge and a far bigger grin attached

I've had the trip of a lifetime to the Berg Cup with some great mates

I've done/ paid for loads of work at home that's been very satisfying including fencing, decorating, new central heating, oven and shower (thanks Kev) I've also added a 16m 8,500kw turbine for renewable energy (makes me feel better about the 18mpg BMW)

I've passed a diploma and taken steps towards another one

My health has deteriorated a bit but I knew it would. I'm not checking out yet though ;)

The forum is getting quieter, but once again, I knew that it would

Trackdays have been few and far between, but then we did have the excellent Marham affair

I am optimistic about 2012 in many ways. I hope to maintain my current trajectory, and I hope that we can keep the hardcore of BP users on board for next year. With events becoming fewer we really need to consider how we support the club moving forwards, but hey, that's over to you guys.

I would like to thank you for your support this year, and also to wish you all a wonderful Christmas break whatever your faith.

See you next year guys

Hurray!:hurray: Good for you mate, And what a pleasant change it is to hear someone say they have had a good year. I wont add my personal views on this year as that would spoil a rather up-beat thread.;)
I hope there are more bigpower members that have had a good year and can stick two fingers up to all the doom and gloom?

Are you not including the scooby in this years transportation list though?

I added the Impreza mate :) Sorry.

The year overall has been good, but there have been some massive challenges and proper, proper upsets. I'm just determined not to allow the negatives outweigh the positives Russ.

On balance I think the highs outweighed the lows, most of the lows were a carryover from 2009-10 when I had serious health issues. Still have the same car (just look at my list unlike a certain Mr Staples)
Big event was driving the new Silverstone GP Circuit, new Snetterton 300 and a revisit to Cadwell, the distance rally but what made it all for me was the camaraderie of BP members both on the forum and at TDs and meetings
I also hope that BP continues and that we can meet up during the coming year.
Incidentally why have none of this years cars been treated to the camouflage look?

In reflection a good year, well at least a far better year then 2009 & 2010.

Is the car where we hadhoped it would be? No
Did we get out on track as much as w wanted? No
Do we still have some minor issues with the car? Yes

We don't get over to snetterton that much and due to circumstances we have had to pull out of things that we said we would do a couple of times. Which we feel really regretful about as you guys have given us so much support over the years.

A good year overall for us. Bought our first house, had a two week holiday in Spain, followed by the Mrs being admiited to the emergency dept at the hospital when it was a bit touch and go. After a fairly slow recovery, she's on the mend. Managed to pass two promotion exams, and now looking for a new job. All in all, been quite a positive year :)

Good year for us, started with this

and now have this

No thats not a mistake, no changes there, Nigel continues to be faultless, although next years MOT rules could prove challenging.

The kids are doing brilliantly at school and although I'm now begining the 4th year of a pay freeze, I still have a job I enjoy and things are looking bright on that front.

Getting the mortgage paid off this year was a major load off, and I feel with a few quid spare next year its time for a new toy.... or a bit of a project. Even managed to fit a couple of holidays in.

Even the MG Midget got some attention this year and now has 3 rust free wheel arches.

Onwards and upwards. :hurray:
