Firstly don't worry, Fast Eddy's is still going strong, i am just going to do something else as well. My passion for cars and high standard/reputation are still there.
Ok, most of you go to the cinema. When you go you probably buy popcorn and pay silly money for it as it is yummy.
It is a tasty and nutritional snack that can be eaten anywhere and anytime. It can also be made in loads of different savoury and sweet flavours and you can even get tasty sprinkle on natural flavourings.
The cinamas are crooks! The value of cinema popcorn is poor. I can do it for less than half the price.
I have contact with a few machine suppliers and corn/flavouring suppliers. I bought a batch of lightly salted and a batch of sweet ready popped popcorn from a huge UK bulk popcorn manufacturer and did some test trading at a carboot last Sunday. Some adults bought some who said they are long standing popcorn fans and some kids bought some. One young girl was very excited to see it and bought a big bag. She returned with a few of here friends who also bought some. One of her friend had never tried it, so i persuaded her to have a sample to try. She loved it and bought a large portion too!
Proof enough there is a demand and a market. Just people need to be educated that it is available not just in cinemas. It is available in some shops/supermarkets, but only in small quantities and limited flavours. My plan is to be able to supply reasonable sized party portions for people to tuck into at home with friends/family for parties/movie watching. Ideal for the nights in during the winter months soon to come and also for summer outdoor parties/barbeques etc as well as all year round events like birthdays, weddings etc.
I bought my first machine today. A high quality medium sized American machine worth
