I have waited for this game for a long time. No, not the sort of long time promised to Bealo when he goes to Thailand; I mean a really long time, since 98 in fact!
For those that don't remember the old one, it was a crass and amusing FPS in the world of largely politically correct video games. Duke was a larger than life character who would routinely kill alien pig cops whilst saving babes and signing autographs. I am here to tell you that very little has changed
That's a good and a bad thing!
-Graphics and animation are poor
-Sound effects are OK
-Loading times are still something that bemuses me on an installed game on a machine like a PS3; there is simply no need for it if the software was coded properly and it's not like they have rushed to release it.
The singular saving grace is the memories jogged when you hear the old music, laugh at the frankly outrageous humour (opening scene joins our hero as he is getting blown by twins
) For me, I don't buy games very often and I have to say that I am a little disappointed. To think that I chose this full price title over many other 'top titles' that are now
