Hi guys, does anyone on here know of any archery ranges where i can just turn up, pay and just fire some arrows?

i've only seen a couple of clubs and they dont mention any form or range, just 2d animal targets or 30 foot shoots :/

You will find it hard to find such a place Dan. They all need you to have insurance etc and membership to the official body

Agree with Nik, compound bows are SO DANGEROUS I can't see many places wanting somone with one turning up and lobbing a few arrows around.
Your best bet is to find a friendly farmer/land-owner who would permit you to play. I'm sure you know, but you need shit loads of room to play with one and not have to worry about killing somone walking their dog/enjoying a stroll.

The 'hunt' (excuse the pun) is over, there's an archery field just outside Bury St Edmunds that has the ranges i need

and no need to worry Nik i've filled in my GB Archery license/insurance forms

just need to send them off and to sell that damn gun
Thanks for the advice though guys

and Les, shooting rats/rabbits etc i'd rather buy your rifle and do it in one shot

I've seen Roe deer killed with a bow, very skilled but bloody scary how dangerous they are.
Glad you've sorted the issue out mate, well done.
