I appreciate many people may have already been, but I've never been there and thought I would share the experiences!

I'm something of a newbie to rides, having been terrified of heights for years, I neatly got round this by abseiling off a water tower for a good cause.
Ever since, I've been more open to this sort of "entertainment".
I've been to the States and done some failry good rides there (Tower of terror springs to mind) and then Paris, along with some at Chessington.

I've seen the adverts on TV for the Saw ride, and today got first hand experience of all the major rides.
I can totally recommend this as a day out (especially if you use the Tesco BOGOF offer) with the rides ranging from scary to bloody good fun.
For example, Stealth is an American themed race rollercoaster, whereby you sit in a car, that stages at the lights, and then goes from 0-80mph in 2.3 secs, and having reached this then heads up at about 80 degrees for 205 feet, before going across an arch and then plummeting down to the end.
The nearest I've ever come to with this, was Gary's Evo, but thankfully that did nt take off and go about 6 storeys up :D You're going so fast, you;re brains telling you that you're going to die and you can't possibly survive the climb and then the dive...and then it's over.

Saw the ride was brilliant, and well worth the 40 minute wait. The ride begins with a surprise and keeps you guessing, but it's definitely not a "scary" ride.

Saw the live experience....well, maybe it's because I'm "lucky" enough to have seen some things for real, but I thought it was lame. Having said that, there were people in front of us who came out looking very sick indeed (For those that know the films but not the ride, you get walked in pitch darkness through a series of rooms from the film, with actors grabbing you from the darkness. The only light comes from pulsing strobes and smoking canisters.)

Colossus was amazing, ten barell rolls on one coaster, and Nemisis and Tidal Wave were good fun too.

All in all, and bloody good giggle and because of the weather, lots of pleasant sights too!

Thorpe Park is an ace place although I havent been since the Saw ride was built. Enough to do in a day without not being able to do everything.

Went to Alton Towers this year when 13 opened, didnt think it was worth the hype. Great day though, cant beat Nemesis !!!
