Well i thought i'd put up a little project of mine im working on at the moment, this lovely old neglected BMX my friend niki gave me. Ive always had a thing for BMX's, dad bought me one when i was 6 or so, and learned to ride on that. So i was really chuffed when she said i could have it
edit: if anyone knows the make of this frame, please share with me, i have no idea who its made by.
here it is on her floor;
so after dismantling it in southend, bunging it in the boot and bringing it back here to thefthood i took it straight into work and made plans
heres a few photos for you to look at;
this frame was really rusted up and generally crap;
before blasting and recoating;
after blasting and coating;
crank/ring gear assembly after blasting and painting;
frame blasted and degreased;
i have more photos that i will upload tomorrow of where ive filled in the dents and a photoshop of what i want it to look like

Frame looks like Diamondback to me( general frame design, lugs for rear sprocket etc)
Looks cool. I've been reminiscing about old Raleigh Mag bikes........the old white one with the tri-colour detail........

Think the last time I saw my burner was as dad threw the frame in the boot of the car to take it to the tip - by then it was finished in undercoat grey with pink and green overspray .. lol. wish I'd kept it .. CW's, bear traps, lean back seat, white walls, dice valve caps but in the bearing shot, bent forks and generally trashed

its amazing how many people used to have super burners and super tuff burners, but you hardly see them now
