After alot of hard work for 2 years I graded up to green in Yosiekan Karate on Saturday. It's the mid grade and the time if you decide you want to carry on to black or not as you get beaten up. It was a 6 hour grading and towards the end you have to spar with all the Dan grades (black belts) for 40 minutes. After a few head shots I don't remember much about it but apparently I managed to put one on my 5th Dan Sensai (the hardest but nicest bloke I have ever met) in my last bout (I'm absolutely sure he let me in!)

I'm still in a bit of pain but very very pleased to have managed it (and without any broken bones!).

HeHe! Why do you think I always say only nice things about him (to his face)? I may be daft but I'm not completely stupid
Well done Andy :thumb:
Now just get Harrow CC sorted and we'll make you king
PS Stu, Add stunt pilot to the list too and I'm sure there's more

Well done mate
The most rewarding strikes are always the ones that you don't actually remember going for. This is the point to continue as you are getting to that level where instinct and reaction are second nature.

Rewarding when you get one on your Sensai. I can remember when i was 16 getting an absolute belter on my 5th Dan sensai, whilst training to represent GB in Japan.
Carry it through, and the instinct and 2nd nature will stay with you for a very very long time in life!
