Did you move the console from standing to flat or vice versa? That scratches the disks.

Go back to your retailer and politely but firmly insist that they change your console for you. Up to 6 months this should be do-able.

Why is there a cost to repair your disks? If the damage has been caused by the console (radial scratches that go all of the way around the disc) then I would, once again, politely request that the games are swapped too.

If you need any further help/advice, give me a call.

Ok thanks james i dont remember moving the machine while it was on  but ya never know

I got it all from toys r us , and was in there at dinner today, they said they cant do anything because its been more than 28 days :o .

The disc replacment service is run by xbox on there website . http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/support/discreplacement/ i just cant see how they can expect you to pay to have a new disc it just makes me so angry

do you guys think i should go back to toys r us and try getting a new disc again then ??? , and what would you say or how would you approch them (with a bat  )

Cheers Aston

p.s dont a year go quick i just had to renew my membership

Box the whole thing up and take it back to toys r us. Get them to exchange it(xbox plus the game) for another one. Start quoting the sales of goods act, mentioning fit for purpose etc etc.

I would go a little steady with that tack. Retailers tend to know a lot more about the sales of goods act than you may think

Polite but firm is the way. Perhaps call the store manager before you go down there. I am sure a reasoned explanation as to why you will not accept being fobbed off is the way to go.

(I can repair your discs if need be. Takes 48 hours)
