do any of you photographers in here use this for tweaking little things in your photos like brightness etc

hoping for a few pointers from people as ive buggered up quite a few good pics trying to improve them :?

I use Aperture / Photoshop on the Mac - sorry never heard of that

Photoshop CS2 is my product - with pics I do carry some level of adjustment, I like my pics to be contrasty ... for example ...

then - washout background and add an anistropic filter ...

ok now im REALLY confused? :? i went rummaging through my recycle bin to get some of the pics i had buggered up and show them to you and ask what i had done wrong, they all had like a very grainy texture to them after i had tweaked them, when i uploaded them they seemed to come out ok?

They were grainy probably due to the size you were viewing them at .. i.e. they are usually crystal clear at 25% of full size and 50% of full size - but anything in between makes them look odd.

you hit the nail on the head there mate! but its when there at 25% that there all grainy just viewed them again at 50% and they seem to be okthink i might need to invest in photoshop TBH :?
