Damn Sony !!!! GT5 Concept screenshots and vid !!!

Post by RX7 »

Well I was really happy with my 360 as a load of games are coming out on it rather than on the PS3.

Then someone shows me that GT5 Prologue is coming out and here are some screenshots....

Evo 10...

New GTR, R8 etc

Checkout the number of cars on the track.....

A good video....the flybys look like they are from the game but the first bit where the background changes looks a bit like 'intro vid'. Be cool if you can have real dashboards though.

Another one......checkout the spoiler coming up on the Audi !!!!!

Now I know this is 'gt5 concept' and its likely to be a cut down version of GT5 which should be out in the next couple of years but it definitely gives you an impression of the ps3s capabilities.

My only concern is the ai....how poor has it been on the other Gran turismos...being smashed off the road because the other ai controlled cars didnt know yo were there is no fun....lets hope that is sorted as Forza is great.

So if Sony are willing to drop the extortionate price for it I would definitely be tempted after seeing these screenshots !!

Extortionate price?! Christ you come out of with some bollocks on ocassions :D How can 425 with 2 games and 2 pads be dear? Spec up your two year 360 to the same level and it would come in at 480+ and still couldn't do HDMI or Bluray/websurfing etc etc................ :fishing:
GT5 looks cool but until they include damage and improve on the sound effects of cars, tyres etc Forza has it whooped imho. Good all the same and at least they will have S13's and R33 GTR's in there too so it's not all bad.

If you watch the vids the car flybys give an indication of the car sounds which is pretty good.

When I say 'extortionate' I mean it in comparison to the price for the american ps3, especially as that has just been given a price cut.

Ah so it has 2 games and another pad thrown in for

One thing that I did notice from the videos was just how many cars were racing at once. If Sony can really get 16 cars on the circuit at once, then it really will become interesting.
I think there is also a danger of comparing apples to oranges here. Forza was ready in March, GT5 as a full version will almost certainly be next March, so a years further development should yield results.

Stunning - but it needs crash damage and handling .. forza is good because the cars handle, I always like GT4 but never realised how useless the handling physics were until I had played Forza

Thanks for the tip. As owner of the largest independent games retail outlet in East Anglia I know a little about that :thumb:
