F1 2012
i think mclaren have got it right and thought more on how to get a good flow
over the front nose of the car.
with that step on the top of most cars how much is the air going
to be disturbed once it hits that slab.
the reason for the slab is down to the suspension set up that the cars
are running and it seems mclaren have redesigned the suspension
to get that much smoother line over the nose.
as for the mclaren design of exhaust its going to 1 of 2 ways
everyone will copy it or the more likly a couple team (RB & F)
will protest against it as that is a nice design to get extra down force
over the front nose of the car.

"Does the mullet make the man?"
Hot-blowing is effectively banned, but cold-blowing is still legal, though it's difficult due to the revised (higher) exhaust regs.
Doesn't stop the teams trying to deflect it down there though (notice the temperature indicator stickers)-
Ferrari (bit of hacksaw action due to burning bodywork)

McLaren (already altered from the 'launch' car)

Red Bull

Finishing off the Ford

Last few days of testing, so it's lastminute.com for any changes...
Ferrari now blowing their exhausts at the lower wing-

Plus a new multi-element front wing-

Apparently they have a major update coming before Melbourne, possibly tomorrow.
Red Bull have such a massive change coming, they're bringing out a new chassis for it. Rumour is it will feature a new exhaust, plus an explaination for the "driver cooling" slot in the nose-step.
McLaren are the only ones who seem to be happy with what they have, though a big update is on the cards for the first practice session in Australia. Saying that, the front wing appears to have a large degree of backwards flex in this pic (less drag?)-
