Landie's full of junk, so couldnt be ahsed to remove it all for a potential carb freezing spasm - so sat in and watched........

Next time out is March 25th - so I expect you all to come and play in the mud - NO Excuses!!!

Well it turned out that I didn't just break a driveshaft, I blew the rear diff and punched a hole in the casing :roll:

I found a complete axle at a local breakers and arranged for a delivery the next day.........and the next day ........and the next day :roll: Then they finaly admitted to cutting the diff out of the axle with a gas axe :x - muppets :roll:

So it was back to searching ebay :roll: and all the various find a part search engines for another axle. I found one on saturday afternoon at another local breakers and should pick it up on Monday.

This was supposed to be a cheap hobby compared to the Skyline

the local lads round my way rather than being chavs all have sj's and what they can do is amazing! I would never get in one with them! There is a bomb hole in my village and they jump out of there with a couple of meters air! I have some vidio on my phone I will try and host it...

After getting the new axle back to the garage and getting the broken axle off, we discovered that it was the wrong one. The off side shock mount was on the wrong side of the axle. We decided that we had no option but to fit it anyway, as a Discovery in the workshop imovable with no axle wouldn't help us to get through the next day work one little bit :roll:

We worked untill 10.30pm on Wednesday night fitting the axle, making up new metal brake pipes that sheared off etc. We cut off and welded the shock mount to the right side of the axle and also fitted a 3" lift kit comprising of new springs, bump stops, shocks and braided brake hoses





Together with the oversize tyres, it now sits about 7" higher than standard 8) There is still lots more to be done when time permits, but it's all up and running again now.

A combination of having;

- PS3 set ups to do
- Working until 8pm
and making a flying visit to British Superbike testing at Snett on Sunday will prevent me killing the Hilux in style........
